Duke Construction and excavation always puts the safety of the public, our project partners, and our employees first.
  • We partner with Oregon OSHA annually to perform job site safety consultations and inspections.
  • Before starting work on a project, we perform a Job Hazard Analysis as well as a detailed Site Specific Safety Plan. This enables us to proactively identify and communicate potential hazards to the project and field teams.
  • We continually reward employees for good safety practices. We currently have a safety incentive reward program which focuses on company-wide safety as well as individual safety performance.
  • We are a member of ConstructSecure, a contractor safety assessment program which all the leading general contractors require for subcontractors to perform work.
To ensure the safety and well being of all employees, Duke Construction and Excavation stresses the following best practices:

Strict drug and alcohol policy that includes pre-employment, random and for cause testing.
  • All employees are orientated and task trained before they are allowed to set foot on a jobsite.
  • All employees participate in a stretch and flex program to avoid strains and sprains.
  • Supervisors conduct daily toolbox talks and weekly detailed safety meetings
  • All accidents and “close calls” are reviewed by the owners
Safety Mission:
Return every employee home to their family each day as they arrived, without injury.
